May 1 - Tickets for Choteau Fourth of July activities go on sale. Activities include the Duck Races, Choteau Summer Festival (formerly Art on the Green), Kids Carnival, Parade, Steak Fry, American Legion Rodeo and fireworks display. Rodeo tickets can be purchased at the Choteau Trading Post or by calling 406-466-5354. May 13 - Class B Northern Division Tennis Tournament in Choteau.

May 28 - Choteau High School graduation, 2 p.m., CHS gymnasium.

May 29 - Choteau Memorial Day Service, 10:30 a.m., Choteau Cemetery.

June 6 - Primary election.

June 21-24 - Teton County 4-H Fair. The talented youth of Teton County showcase their 4-H projects over three days with demonstrations and exhibits in the Choteau Pavilion, concessions and games in the City Park, and a livestock show and sale in the Weatherbeater Arena in Choteau. Activities this year include a Ken Overcast Concert.

June 15-17 - Mountain Valley League Baseball Tournament

June 23-25 - Choteau Junior Classic Baseball Tournament

June 24 - Augusta Rodeo Parade

June 24 - Bright Eyes "Strut Your Mutt." Bright Eyes Animal Care and Rehab Shelter, Choteau City Park. Activities include silent auction, fun and games for your favorite four-footed pal, competitions. Lunch concessions to be sold. Sketch artist will draw you, your child, sweetheart or pet.

June 25 - Augusta American Legion Rodeo

July 1 - Jaycees' Choteau Summer Festival (formerly Art on the Green) - 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Choteau City Park. The Summer Festival is an open arts and craft show with a musical flair. Shoppers will find great Christmas, birthday and housewarming gifts here. Drawings and prizes also given away. Lunch concessions will be sold. At noon, the Prairie Mountain Players Community Band will present a free outdoor concert in the park.

July 1 - Choteau Soroptimists' Kids Carnival and Duck Races. Carnival starts at 11 a.m. and the Duck Races at 1 p.m., in the Choteau City Park.

July 1 - Choteau Junior Rodeo, 11 a.m., Choteau Rodeo Grounds. Call Mary Salmond at 406-466-2000.

July 2 - Choteau High School Class of 1956 50-year reunion, 1-6 p.m., Choteau City Park and Pavilion. Call Clark Olson, 406-466-5589, for more information.

July 2 - Roxy Theatre 60th anniversary Variety Show, time TBA, in the theater in Choteau.

July 2 - Boxing Smoker, 6 p.m., at the Choteau Rodeo Grounds, sponsored by the Choteau Boxing Club and Choteau Volunteer Fire Department.

July 3 - "Keg Hockey" tournament near the Choteau Fire Hall, registration, noon to 1 p.m., competition starting at 1 p.m., sponsored by the Choteau VFD.

July 3 - Choteau High School Class of 1966 40-year reunion, 2 p.m., Choteau Country Club. BBQ dinner at 4 p.m. Call Stensons at 406-466-2764 or Pauluses at 406-466-2857.

July 3 - Choteau Jaycees will serve a barbecue dinner, starting at 5 p.m., at the Choteau Rodeo Grounds and will then present Tom Russell in concert outdoors at the rodeo grounds at 7 p.m.

July 4 - Grizzly Marathon 5K & 10K Fun Run, registration 7 a.m. on the northwest corner of the Choteau City Park. Races start at 8 a.m.

July 4 - Chamber of Commerce Parade: The parade always features a variety of youth, civic and business floats, the local community band, cowboys and horses, and antique cars. This year's theme is: "Choteau Goes Disney." The parade starts at 10 a.m.

July 4 - Chamber of Commerce Steak Fry, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The chamber's biggest fund-raiser of the year, this great homemade picnic in the Choteau City Park and Pavilion includes steak, hot dogs, tossed salad, homemade potato chips, baked beans, roast beef and ice cream.

July 4 - American Legion NRA Rodeo: Montana's finest Northern Rodeo Association cowboys and cowgirls ride into town for a super rodeo, starting at 2 p.m. Events include bullriding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf roping and, a crowd favorite, wild cow milking. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 406-466-5354.

July 4 - Community Fireworks: As the sun slips behind the Rocky Mountain Front, Choteau's volunteer firefighters put on a hometown pyrotechnic display with orange starbursts, sizzling hissers and sonic booms. This program is entirely funded by donations. If you would like to contribute, please send checks to the Choteau City Office, P.O. Box 619, Choteau, MT 59422.

July 7-9 - Choteau Classic All-Star Baseball Tournament

Sponsored by the Teton Antique Steam and Gas Association. Located at the Weatherbeater grounds in Choteau. Sept. 19 - Choteau United Methodist Church Fall Festival

Sept. 23 - Shadows of the Past Art Auction Revisited, a benefit for Teton Medical Center. Reception, 5 p.m.; Quick Finish, 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Main Auction, 7 p.m., Choteau Pavilion. Tickets available at: Choteau Trading Post, Country Hallmark, Montana Antler Art Gallery, Teton Medical Center. $25 for a single; $35 for a couple.

Sept. 28-30 - Choteau High School Homecoming activities: football, volleyball, parade, bonfire, student dance.

Nov. 4 - Soroptimist Winter Fair, 10 a.m. at the Choteau Pavilion. Start your Christmas shopping early! This winter fair annually brings some of the most talented area artisans to the Choteau Pavilion to display their creations, ranging from clothing to decorations and everything in between. Concessions, including homemade pies, cookies and candy, will be available.

Nov. 7 - General election

Nov. 9 - Free buffet and style show at the Choteau Trading Post. Emcees are PBR rodeo clown Flint Rasmussen and his wife, Katie.

Nov. 25 Bright Eyes "Paws with Claus" photos, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ace Hardware. Bring in your favorite pet and get your picture taken with Santa.

Activities will include: displays/sales by independent consultants and home-based businesses at the Choteau Pavilion; fire truck rides; FREE movie for kids at The Roxy Theatre in conjunction with the Jaycees' food drive; shopping specials on Main Avenue; FREE hot cider from the Chamber of Commerce in front of Burk & Lee Law Office. Dec. 2 - Teton County Courthouse Centennial Celebration in Choteau, in conjunction with the Christmas Stroll. Many commemorative activities planned.

Dec. 31 - Teton Medical Center Foundation's 5th annual Charity Ball, 8 p.m., Choteau Pavilion. Help raise funds for the TMC Foundation and ring in the New Year in style.
